For Our Planet II, we filmed the Ancient Murrelet sequence, we followed their chicks as they made their way out of their nests, facing many challenges as they crossed the island to the sea, and began their perilous journey across the Pacific Ocean. We were camping on a remote island in Haida Gwaii. A magical landscape, with moss covered ground, and surrounded by old giant spruce, hemlock and cedar trees. During the day, the island was still but at night it would come alive with the noise of seabirds, flying to and from nests or guiding their chicks to the ocean.
